Dear Colleagues!

It is well-known that limited resources of hydrocarbons worldwide and the growth of electricity consumption have provoked nearly a speculative demand for nuclear power technologies in recent years. This phenomenon has been observed both in the traditionally nuclear power countries and in other states and has been named the "nuclear renaissance". 

The emerged world financial crisis, however, has moved the issues of expediency, economy and shared use of available resources to the foreground. It is clear now that the further implementation of national nuclear power development programs is possible only in the broad international cooperation.

Given the limited resources and necessity to solve global tasks of nuclear power development, the best practices accumulated through the implementation of joint projects should be employed and best achievements of each other should be made use of.

That is why we have decided to organize the International Congress and Exhibition “ATOMEXPO 2009” which are called for to become an international ground for working out effective cooperation strategies, discussing the experience in implementation of joint projects and implementing nonstandard business solutions.
