The Forum is organized by Rosatom’s order No 624 of 03.12.2008 “Regarding Preparation and Conduct of the International Exhibition and Congress «ATOMEXPO 2009». The Organizing Committee is headed by Director General of State Corporation Rosatom Sergey Kiriyenko

Forum’s goal:

• Create a national exhibition and conference ground on nuclear power in Russia.
• Provide an opportunity to representatives of the state authorities and industrial communities to discuss issues related to nuclear power development and international cooperation in conditions of the world financial crisis in 2009.

The resolute development of nuclear power in the background of the emerged world financial crisis increases attractiveness of the nuclear industry for companies who are interested in expanding their business opportunities. The state program of the Russian nuclear power development (Resolution of the Russian Federation Government No 605 of 6 October 2006 "Regarding the Federal Targeted Program “The Development of Nuclear Power and Industry Complex of Russia in 2007-2010 and until 2015" and other) and a great demand in the Russian nuclear technologies worldwide secure long-term investments in large-scale industry-wide projects which implementation requires further expansion of the international and inter-industry cooperation.
