TVEL JSC and Haykakan Atomayin Electrakayan CJSC (Armenian NPP) have signed contractual documents for supplies of Russian nuclear fuel in 2019 – 2020.
On June 20, a solemn ceremony was held at the construction base of hungarian Paks-2 NPP (General Contractor JSC ASE, Engineering division of ROSATOM) dedicated to the beginning of the erecting first buildings of the construction base.
During the 6th session of the Russian-Saudi Arabian intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technological cooperation, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak confirmed Russia’s plans to develop active partnership with Saudi Arabia in the peaceful use of nuclear technologies and announced the opening of a Rusatom Overseas branch in Riyadh.
During the visit of Prime Minister of Slovakia Peter Pellegrini to Moscow, a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes was signed between ROSATOM and Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic.
5th June 2019, Moscow – A general contract for Russian-designed power units No. 3 and No. 4 construction with VVER-1200 reactors at Xudapu nuclear power plant was signed on June 5 in Moscow in presence of heads of Russia and China.
The documents were signed by Otabek Amanov, NPP Construction Director, Uzatom, and Dmitry Ashanin, Deputy Director for Prospective Projects, Atomstroyexport (a company of ROSATOM engineering division).
This year hit a record high in the number of participants – 39 management professionals in nuclear organizations from 19 Member States. The role of the executive NEM School director on the IAEA part was given to Mr Mikhail Chudakov, IAEA Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Nuclear Energy.
On April 16, the 11th ATOMEXPO International Forum 2019, a global industry discussion event organized by Rosatom State Corporation, finished its work in the Main Media Center of Sochi.
ROSATOM and Cuba’s Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, have signed a memorandum of cooperation education and training in the field of nuclear energy on the sidelines of the 11th ATOMEXPO International Forum. The memorandum was signed by the Deputy Director General For International Relations of ROSATOM, Nikolay Spassky, and the First Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Environment of Cuba, Fernando Gonzalez Bermudez.
On April 16 in Sochi Russia and the Republic of Congo signed the roadmap to foster establishing cooperation in the field of peaceful uses of atomic energy. The document was signed within the framework of the XI International Forum ATOMEXPO 2019.
