During the 6th session of the Russian-Saudi Arabian intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technological cooperation, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak confirmed Russia’s plans to develop active partnership with Saudi Arabia in the peaceful use of nuclear technologies and announced the opening of a Rusatom Overseas branch in Riyadh.

This year hit a record high in the number of participants – 39 management professionals in nuclear organizations from 19 Member States. The role of the executive NEM School director on the IAEA part was given to Mr Mikhail Chudakov, IAEA Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Nuclear Energy.

The memorandum was signed by the Deputy Director General For International Relations of ROSATOM, Nikolay Spassky, and the First Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Environment of Cuba, Fernando Gonzalez Bermudez.
