Nuclear for better life
The World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) and Rosenergoatom JSC (a part of the Electric Power Division of Rosatom State Corporation) will hold a roundtable discussion on “Creating a Safe Future Together” at ATOPMEXPO 2019.
The main topics for discussion at the roundtable will be the safe and reliable operation of nuclear power plants, professional leadership and support for countries that have taken the decision to develop nuclear energy.
The round-table session “Global Partnership – a Defining Condition for Sustainable Development” participants will discuss ROSATOM and other global companies of the world nuclear power’s preparedness to operate in the logic of building partnership schemes in foreign projects while attracting global partners and local suppliers to ensure sustainable development.
On the 15th of April 2019 in Sochi the round-table session “Preparing for the Future: Innovation and Education” will take place in the framework of the 11th International Forum ATOMEXPO-2019. It will be organized with participation of the Nuclear Energy Agency of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD/NEA).
This year’s ATOMEXPO International Forum in Sochi will feature a roundtable discussion on “Nuclear Medicine: Trends, Innovations and Best Practices” organized by Rusatom Healthcare (a medical integrator that is part of the Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation) in conjunction with the official supplier of isotope products to Rosatom, JSC Isotope.
The call for applications has now closed for the ATOMEXPO AWARDS. This international professional award is presented to companies/organizations for their contribution to the development and use of nuclear energy for the benefit of humankind. The competition is held as part of the 11th ATOMEXPO International Forum.
ASE (ROSATOM Engineering Division) and CNNC enterprises signed a General contract for units 7 and 8 of Tianwan NPP, as well as a contract for a technical project for units 3 and 4 of Xudabao NPP. The preparation of these documents was carried out in accordance with the strategic package of agreements signed during the visit of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to the People's Republic of China.
ROSATOM and the Ministry of Infrastructure of the Republic of Rwanda signed in Kigali two memoranda of cooperation: on education and personnel training in the field of nuclear energy in Rwanda and on the formation of the positive public opinion on nuclear energy in the country.
The Second Atomexpo Awards ceremony will take place during the 11th International Forum ATOMEXPO 2019. Atomexpo Awards is an international professional accolade celebrating outstanding achievements in the nuclear industry and the use of nuclear energy for the benefit of humankind. Awards will be presented in five categories. Applications will be accepted until March 15, 2019.
Within a decade, the forum has transformed itself from a Russian nuclear industry event with occasional participation of foreign partners into a global nuclear industry discussion platform. For the first time in the history of the forum, the ATOMEXPO business programme has been compiled by the International Programme Committee.
ROSATOM has launched the sector-wide Advance Training Program for managers of nuclear facility construction projects in the Russian Federation and abroad. It will allow building up new competences, implement best world practices of construction project management on sites and train necessary candidates pool for implementation of the world’s largest portfolio of NPP construction projects.
